It seems that many people these days find it easy to tell lies in order to get themselves ahead. Research any business opportunity and you will find what I am saying to be true. Several people making income claims that they have no proof to back up. My favorite is pictures of cars and houses, as though those items can help a potential member achieve anything. But yet, people seem to be attracted to “shiny” things, so those using these tactics tend to end up making a good amount of money.

INTRODUCTION

The need for outside contract services is nothing new. IT-related
consultants have been around since the computer was first introduced for
commercial purposes. Today, all of the Fortune 1000 companies have consultants
playing different roles in IT, either on-site or offshore. Many companies are
satisfied with the work produced by their consultants, others are not. Some
consultants are considered a necessary evil who tackle assignments
in an unbridled manner and charge exorbitant rates. For this type of
consultant, it is not uncommon for the customer to be left in the dark
in terms of what

the consultant has done, where they are going, and if
and when they will ever complete their assignment. Understand this, the
chaos brought on by such consultants are your own doing.

In this article I want to pick up the difference between being rich and being wealthy. As I indicated in the last article, being rich is about having access to lots of money. People can be rich, attain millionaire status, but not be wealthy, at least not if they have to continually front up to work in order to keep the money coming in.

Being wealthy is about being able to continue your current lifestyle without having to continue working. That means having some independent source of income that does not require you to turn up somewhere for an allocated period of time to actually receive your pay cheque. Whether you are

a labourer in a factory or a brain surgeon, the only real difference is the amount you get paid for your labour. If a labourer doesn t turn up for work, they don t get paid. If a brain surgeon doesn t turn up to work, they don t get paid. The only real difference is the dollar amount each might lose for having that time off. In fact the labourer who leverages what money they do have, will ultimately be better off than the brain surgeon who doesn t.
